November Grief Cafe

The holidays can be complicated when you're grieving. Let's process together creatively.

For many people, the holiday season brings an extra layer of grief. Memories, traditions, empty seats at the table, and reminders of someone or something that's no longer here can make this time of year especially difficult.

We welcome you to this creative, caring space.

Our Grief Café is taking a different approach. Rather than a traditional grief café centered on conversation, this gathering will use creativity as a way to explore and process grief. Through a series of facilitated art activities, you'll have the opportunity to make something, connect with others, and spend time with whatever you're carrying right now.

There is absolutely no pressure to talk about your loss or share anything personal. You can participate quietly, create at your own pace, or connect with others if you'd like. There's no right way to grieve, and no right way to participate. No artistic experience required.

Your ticket includes:

• A 2-hour facilitated creative workshop exploring themes of grief, memory, and self-care

• All art materials

• Light snacks + drinks

• $10 credit toward the Floriography Studio store after the workshop

Tickets are $35.

Space is limited to 12 participants to create an intimate + comfortable environment. No previous art experience needed. All are welcome.

By attending one of our events, you're supporting a queer- and trans-owned creative studio that believes everyone is an artist. We're excited to create a space for self-expression, connection, and care.

Please note: This is a creative workshop informed by art therapy principles and activities, not group therapy or a substitute for professional grief counseling. Sharing personal experiences is always optional.

Accessibility: Our space is unfortunately not wheelchair-accessible. There are stairs to enter the studio. We know that this presents a barrier to joining us. We regularly host free workshops in accessible spaces and invite you to follow our Instagram for updates and alternative opportunities.

Refund Policy: Floriography Studio NYC events are nonrefundable.
